Blessing of the Animals
The annual Blessing of the Animals has been a longstanding tradition at St. Brendan's. Held during a 10 a.m. Sunday service in October near the Feast of St. Francis, the blessing is a way for members to celebrate and honor their beloved family pets. Parishioners are invited to bring their animals inside the sanctuary, on a leash or in a carrier, where pets can choose to 'people watch,' 'meditate' or 'sing along' with St. Brendan's Choir! Members may also bring a stuffed animal or a photo of a current pet or a loved pet that has died.
